The Digital, Economics, Data Linkage and Analytics (DELTA) core function brings together specialists in data, economics, digital and AI technology, and research methods. They support all programme workstreams by managing and analysing “big” data (including equality-focused analysis), building digital tools, and assessing costs.
The core function also coordinates access to national data and data linkages between existing health records and research studies to enable long-term follow-up of populations.
Working closely with each theme and workstream lead, DELTA helps refine how interventions are designed, delivered and evaluated using robust protocols and analysis plans.
